Read Through The Bible In 2015

New Years Day is just a few days away!  I hope you will make it a goal to read through the Bible in 2015.  Don't feel overwhelmed or convince yourself that you can't do it.  If you read only a few chapters a day, by the end of the year you will have read through it and will have learned a lot.  Commit to reading the Bible through and pray for the Lord's help to keep that commitment.

Here are just a few things to consider about reading through the Bible.
  • You will grow spiritually (1 Peter 2:2)
  • You will grow in your faith (Romans 10:17)
  • You will grow in your sanctification (John 17:17)

Here are a few ideas that might help you:
  • Read this Bible Reading Strategy by Chuck Lawless.  I used some of his ideas this year!
  • Consider purchasing a daily Bible.  This is a Bible that is already broken down into daily readings that will help you stay focused and on track!  In 2014 I used a daily chronological Bible for the first time and really enjoyed it.

Here are some reading plans you can review to help determine which one will best fit your schedule:
  • 2015 Bible Reading Plans from Ligonier Ministries
  • Several Bible reading plans that you can print out from the Blue Letter Bible (note: you may need to scroll down the page to see the different plans)

Will you commit to reading the Bible through in 2015?  I hope you will!
