Adversary, Not 'Frenemy'

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world." 1 Peter 5:8-9

These verses make a very clear point that we must consider.  They tell us a truth that impacts our daily walk with the Lord.  The truth is this, the Devil is not neutral or ambivalent about your faith in Christ. He's not your 'frenemy'. The Bible clearly tells us he is violently opposed to anyone who has faith in Christ.

Whether we like it or not, believe it or not, act like it or not, we ARE in a spiritual battle (read Ephesians 6:10-18).  We have an enemy who wants to devour us and destroy us.  This is something we can't be casual about.  Being casual about this will make you a casualty!
